Centering on God, not self

The Bible is full of faithful affirmations centering on God, not self. When scripture speaks of self, it usually commends self-denial and self-control and condemns self-worship. Self love is acceptable and encouraged as long as its understood within its proper context (Mathew 22:39; self-regard).

 

Galatians 6:14: “May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.”

The New Black

During my primary school days, I remember Mrs. Peninah, our science teacher teaching us the basic principle of magnetism whereby opposite poles attract while same poles oppose.
